The term less is more is so applicable to marathon training. One of the main reasons to have a marathon running coach if to let the coach put on the brakes and articulate the wisdom of days off and lesser mileage and shorter runs. This quality ends up becoming a reason why there is a break through in running performance. For this reason, today I am enjoying the wisdom of my own running coach and her weekly schedule for me. Tuesday is a day off from running in preparation for tomorrow’s run. Less is more, this is one of my week’s “forgotten sessions.”
